Peter was born in Denver where family ran a kitchen in a small neighborhood. It was here that Peter got his first experience in helping out with family needs as he and his brother were responsible for washing dishes. After graduating from Fort Lewis College with a degree in Business, Yu became an accomplished executive for some of the largest companies in the world. During the past 20 years, Yu has been a manager and director for multiple companies ranging from communications, tourism, renewable energy, marketing, banking/finance, and customer service and sales. His marketing and sales teams continually ranked at the top of their industries. In addition, managing for conglomerates such as Wyndham Worldwide and Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, Yu has been able to experience and work with people in all environments (both business and communities) and to assist them in creating new career paths and having better lives. Knowing first-hand how unforgiving and tough life can be, Peter wants to lead and assist those who are struggling. It seems more frequent that the attitude we see now in our daily lives is non-conducive to the values and principles of America. As a result, we need people who understand the difficulties of life and are willing to build policies so that everyone can achieve the American Dream. Peter is looking forward to the potential of being your representative as it is important to him that everyone gets to experience life the way our founding fathers intended. Being able to prosper, take care of loved ones, and enjoy life are the true rights of every American.
