Connor Duffy (D)




Conor Duffy is the founder of a Fort Collins-based technology start-up.  His company develops software that guides energy sector clients to increase profitability by actually reducing carbon emissions.


Conor began his professional career with the Chevron corporation, where he shaped its growing renewable energy business and helped create the organization’s first carbon offset program.  His impact within the renewable energy field was global as he developed and oversaw projects that reduced carbon emissions and generated high-quality offset credits for markets in the US, Australia, New Zealand, and the European Union.


Later, as an overseas oil field economist, Conor brought thoughtful and effective change to the enterprise by developing new means of analysis that promoted efficiencies while reducing environmental impact.


Conor served in the United States Peace Corps in Mali, West Africa, where he launched rural infrastructure programs, created micro-finance programs, and taught HIV prevention.  Conor has also volunteered as a mentor in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and enjoys lending a hand to help keep Colorado’s wilderness trails clean.


Conor holds a Master’s degree from Rice University and a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Arizona State University.  Conor and his wife, Michelle, are the proud parents of 3 young children and enjoy living in wonderful northern Colorado.
